Flexible and easier to handle than twisted polypropylene or natural fiber ropes. This rope floats and will not rot or mildew even if stored damp. Because of its light weight, polypropylene is the only rope which floats. For this reason, it is very popular for pool markers and water sports. PP is affected by sunlight deterioration, more so than any other synthetic or natural fiber rope, but its life can be extended by storing it away from direct sunlight. Poly begins to weaken and melt at 150°F, the lowest melting point of all synthetic ropes. It is not as strong as nylon or polyester, but 2-3 times stronger than manila. Because PP is less expensive than other fibers, it is the most popular all-purpose rope for the average consumer. Hollow braided PP can be spliced.

Solid Braid Polypropylene Derby Rope, lock stitch construction makes it a firm, round rope. Keeps its shape even under load. Feels like more expensive nylon ropes. Resists rot, mildew and abrasions. This rope floats.
Twisted Polypropylene Rope, floating rope that is flexible and less slippery than other polypropylene ropes. It holds knots well and resists most chemicals, rot and mildew.
Polypropylene Clothesline, lightweight, strong, durable. Cleans easily and resists oil and most chemicals. Can also be used as generals purpose lashing cord and tie down.
